BREXIT Update – 9th September

Here are the latest Brexit updates from Bloomberg; –

• The government is considering delaying new post-Brexit import rules that are due to kick in from October and January, according to PoliticsHome. This comes after grace periods for Northern Ireland trade were extended indefinitely.

• The “Brexit First’’ philosophy of Boris Johnson’s government is colliding with a supply chain crisis, as he resists
calls for temporary EU visas to plug gaps in the U.K. labour market. From HGV drivers to slaughtermen to engineers, shortages are being felt across the economy.

• Rules on the treatment of sewage in Britain have been waived due to a shortage of the required chemicals as supply
chains from the EU have been squeezed.
