The closure of a central road junction is set to bring major disruption to Staines.
Network Rail is replacing the Iron Bridge, which carries the railway line over the High Street close to its junction with South Street and Mustard Mill Road. The project will take almost three months and will cause major disruption to Staines.
The bridge will be completely closed to traffic for almost three weeks from March 21 to April 8, with cars sent on a 3.3-mile diversion along the A30, across the M25 roundabout and up Wraysbury Road. Partial road closures will be in place at other times.
