Juggling work with a career can be extremely challenging. Making a commitment to support the well being and health of your staff who do this is a key responsibility as an employer. The ideal objective is to encourage a culture where staff carers feel free to disclose their status in a safe environment and have opportunities to access support to help them to achieve a work life balance which will not negatively impact on their future career opportunities.
Surrey County Council has teamed up with Carers UK to give carers in our area access to a wide range of digital tools and essential resources that may make their caring situation easier.
These can be accessed at www.carersdigital.org by entering the access code DGTL3562.
Carers UK are also offering free membership to SMEs of their “Employers for Carers Services.” This provides support for employers who wish to help their staff carers.
