This export training course is designed to provide an overview of the terminology, procedures and documentation used in the export process and to promote awareness of the responsibilities and obligations of all parties. Attendees should should gain an overview of the export process from first enquiry to arrival of the goods at destination and the course will highlight the possible pitfalls that can await the unwary. It will include a summary of The New Incoterms®2010 Rules

Who should attend?
This export training course is graded as “entry level” and is suitable for those new to the problems of export and for those with some experience who need to update their knowledge. No prior knowledge of exporting is assumed. The content will be relevant to field and office based sales staff, purchasing staff, shipping and despatch personnel, accounts and finance staff, customer services, freight forwarders.
Qualifications
Delegates who attend this International Trade course will be invited to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the subject matter by completing a short exam at the end of the course that will be marked by external examiners accredited by British Chambers of Commerce (BCC). The module for this course is part of a curriculum that provides invaluable basic skills for small and large companies alike. Candidates will receive a certificate for each module successfully completed, and the achievement of completing six modules will result in the candidate obtaining a nationally recognised Foundation Award in International Trade.
About the Trainer
Peter Thompson B.A.(Hons.)
Peter has 20 years commercial experience up to director level in the logistics and financial aspects of international trade in the building services, civil engineering and energy sectors. Peter became a freelance trainer offering export and import courses in 1998 and achieved J.E.T.S. accreditation in 2000. In 2003 he became Principal and Owner of Business Training and delivers the majority of their courses.
