The Apprenticeship Levy: How it will work for Your Business!

1 March 2017 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am GMT

When: Wednesday 1st March 8:00 – 9:30
Where: Holiday Inn Hotel, Felix Lane, Shepperton TW17 8NP.

In spring 2017 the way the government funds apprenticeships in England is changing. The levy requires all employers operating in the UK, with a pay bill over £3 million each year, to invest in apprenticeships.

To explain this process in depth the Spelthorne Business Forum have Sue Taylor from the Association of Learning Providers explaining how this will work for your business.

At the event the Holiday Inn will very kindly be providing breakfast!

Keynote Speaker: Sue Taylor

Sue Taylor has been working with apprenticeships for over 20 years and has been around through many changes.  Sue has been a provider of apprenticeship delivery and started her career off as an apprentice.  Most recently Sue has worked for the Association of Learning providers in Surrey supporting the provider network in the area including the four colleges. Through ALPS which is a membership organisation Sue runs meetings for the providers, offers provider support and most recently has been offering support and brokerage to the employer network.  ALPS is proud of its achievements running the careers fair at Epsom for six years and last year was the second year running a graduation event for apprentices at Surrey Cathedral giving the apprentices an opportunity to celebrate their success in line with graduates.  Sue is knowledgeable  on the levy being imposed on employers  with a payroll over a million and is always happy to find the answer should she not know it!  ALPS also sat as a Chair on the apprenticeship awards for the national apprenticeship service.
