Local Government Reorganisation

The way public services are delivered in Surrey is changing and it could have an
impact on how you do business. Government wants to transfer more powers and funding from Whitehall to local areas, creating elected mayors in regions that don’t currently have them like Surrey
to drive economic growth. For this to happen, some areas need to reorganise and streamline local government first, creating single unitary councils rather than the current two tiers of county and districts.
