Following conversations with local employers involved in logistics, transportation and storage, it is clear that more needs to be done to attract and retain skilled staff; to upskill the existing workforce to support and develop new technologies and to drive initiatives to ensure diversity, equity and inclusion among staff.
Surrey Chambers of Commerce have come together with other partners, including Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, East Surrey College and the Connected Places Catapult, to create this upcoming skills summit, as part of the LSIP Project for Surrey & Mid North Hampshire.
The event, on Thursday 20th June at East Surrey College, is an opportunity for businesses, providers and other key stakeholders in the local skills system to come together to discuss, identify and agree actions to address key skills and recruitment challenges faced by those involved in getting products and services from A to B.
