The Spelthorne Business Forum invites you to join us on the February 23rd for one of our most important prestigious events of the year.
Our “Meet the Leaders” event will offer members the opportunity to hear from some of the key decision makers at Spelthorne Borough Council including Chief Executive Roberto Tambini, Chief Finance Officer Terry Collier and our newly elected Leader of the Council, Cllr Ian Harvey.
The centrepiece to this event will be Terry’s talk “Balancing Spelthorne’s Budget 2016-17 & Beyond: Meeting the challenge of funding reductions.” In his speech Terry will discuss the challenges facing the council including: the nature of the revenue budget, further Government funding reductions effecting Surrey, and a summary of the business rates picture. This will be followed by a short Q & A where you will be able to put questions to our panel.
This insightful event explores the people, policies and issues which are responsible for directing the future course of the economy and environment for business in the next year. Through discussion and query, Meet the Leaders will help members to gain a deeper understanding and a greater awareness of the factors integral to the formation of local decision making and the effects this has on the business community.
