It gives me great pleasure to invite you to attend a pre-budget breakfast with Kwasi Kwarteng, Conservative MP for Spelthorne. This will be an opportunity to engage with Kwasi personally, ask questions about the local/national political scene and economy, discuss ideas you may have, and meet other local business people.
Kwasi’s Business Breakfast will be held in the Corporate Events Room at The Hazelwood Centre (The Home of London Irish, Hazelwood Drive, Sunbury on Thames, TW16 6QU) on Friday 19th October, 2018 at 7.45 for 8.00am. Following a full English breakfast, Kwasi will speak and answer questions. We expect to finish by 9.30am, but members can stay later if they wish to network with others.
The event will be for business leaders, entrepreneurs, relevant Councillors, and senior members of the Spelthorne Conservatives with strong business interests. This is an invitation-only event, hence should you wish to invite colleagues or friends, please let us know so we can make the necessary arrangements. The cost will be £25 per person.
Kwasi has a special role in the House of Commons, as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Rt. Hon Philip Hammond MP, the Chancellor. Put simply, he serves as the “eyes and ears” of the Chancellor. You will have seen Kwasi on news programmes and Question Time, as he is increasingly invited to communicate government policy on behalf of the Chancellor and the Prime Minister. We feel Kwasi’s enhanced role gives him the opportunity to privately share economic and policy insights with business leaders across Spelthorne.
As the CEO of a UK-listed PLC, I am personally very aware of the issues facing business and hope you will join me, Kwasi, and others on October 19th. If you would like to attend please contact our Events Coordinator, Cllr. Maureen Attewell (maureenattewell@gmail.com / 07951 655656). Maureen will take your booking(s) and any answer questions you may have.
We look forward to seeing you on the 19th at 7.45am.
With best wishes,
Mike
