On the 20th of March at The Addington Golf Club, one of the top 20 golf courses in Surrey, we will be hosting our fourth annual Surrey Chambers Golf Society Major, sponsored by WillU Financial Services.
Last year’s event was a huge success, with Surrey businesses competing against each other in teams for the chance to win the coveted SCGS Claret Jug. Playing four-ball Stableford, with a shotgun start, the top team will take home the SCGS Claret Jug currently held by our 2023 winners, Ross Sando, Lee McDowell, Mike Turner and Craig Redston.
Last year we raised £1,700 for charity and look forward to doing the same this year by supporting The Counselling Partnership.
Book on now as a team of four as a great way to bond with your employees , thank clients or come as an individual and be placed in a team of like-minded players.
All handicaps and abilities are welcome, our usual society players have handicaps from 28 to 0 and everything in between! You don’t need to be a member of a golf club or our society, as long as you are an enthusiastic golfer you are welcome.
About our SCGS Golf Days
Now in its 28th year, Surrey Chambers Golf Society (SCGS) runs a monthly 18 Hole Stableford competition open to all businesspeople. Join us as a team and entertain your own clients or as a solo player and we will place you in a team to network with other business leaders.
The Society holds a competition every month, with around 30-50 players participating. Playing on some of the best golf courses in Surrey, it is a great chance to make valuable business connections, while doing something you really enjoy. Usually an event starts with bacon rolls and coffee and continues on to an 18-hole course, followed by a tasty lunch and prize giving. Playing in these events means that members of the SCGS can compete for one of our 8 trophies, as well as entering the Annual Order of Merit.
