Surrey Chambers of Commerce and the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce are holding a FREE workshop on ‘Trade with Egypt; Export Documentation, Financial Support Options, Logistic & Customs Formalities’ on Wednesday 31st October in Woking.
Egypt is one of the largest markets in the MENA region, with a population of 95 million and growing. It has one of the youngest populations in the world and is making massive strides within a range of sectors including construction, infrastructure, medical and retail, creating opportunities for UK businesses.
Egypt and the UK have had a long and successful trading relationship, with UK trade volume with Egypt standing close to £2 billion per year for the last few years and with its free trade agreement with the EU allowing the country to have continued preferential access to the EU Single Market even after Brexit, it is still an appealing prospect for UK businesses. Post- Brexit, a free trade agreement between the two countries would be likely especially with Egypt remaining an important regional trade hub for businesses looking to access the African and the Middle East markets.
The objective of this workshop is to examine the various aspects of international trade documentation, and specific requirements for export to the Egyptian market. The workshop consists of two sessions; in the sessions, we will discuss how to prepare the content of trade documents, financial support options, logistic and finally customs formalities.
The workshop with have presentations presented by experts from Department of International Trade, UK Export Finance, Surrey Chambers of Commerce, SGS UK, Black Fox Logistics and African Freight Bridge Network and an opportunity to ask questions to the panel of experts.
Please can I ask that you promote this workshop (flyer attached) to your business network especially those that are looking to trade internationally or looking to trade with Egypt.
