DESCRIPTION:How can housing\, heating or energy-related businesses be developed to support local net-zero ambitions and win more retrofit work?\nRetrofit is adding new materials\, products and technologies to existing buildings to reduce energy. The market for retrofit is projected to grow tenfold to achieve the UK’s 2050 Net Zero commitments. \nThe Surrey Retrofit Summit is aimed at key stakeholders in the retrofit supply chain including installers of retrofit measures\, product manufacturers\, social housing providers and landlords. Surrey County Council has partnered with The Retrofit Academy and Low Carbon Homes to organise the Summit\, which will be held over the mornings of Tuesday 13\, Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 June 2023\, \n What will you learn? \nMorning One – an update on Surrey CC’s decarbonisation plans and retrofit one-stop-shop ambitions\, an overview of supply chain opportunities and a showcase of recent retrofit success stories. \nMorning Two – speakers will focus on the skills\, support and finance available to businesses to help them scale to install high volumes of housing fabric energy efficiency measures. \nMorning Three – business coaching\, advice and case studies for heating and energy businesses looking to pivot towards low carbon heat and storage\, and an analysis of the scale of the retrofit market opportunity and how to access it. \n Take this fantastic networking and learning opportunity \nIf you are also wrestling with these challenges then Q&A sessions with a panel of the morning’s speakers and networking with peers\, local authority staff\, speakers and sponsors at the virtual conference tables are a fantastic opportunity to ask questions and get personal advice from experts working in this field. \n It’s a trade show without the travel! \nAlongside the speakers\, attendees will benefit from the opportunity to hear about the technologies and building materials driving down carbon footprints\, from us and the other event partners E.ON Energy UK will be there. \nThe Surrey Retrofit Summit is free to attend online using the dynamic REMO event platform across three mornings from 0900-1200 from Tuesday 13 June to Thursday 15 June\, enabling housing professionals\, installers\, contractors\, consultants\, architects\, and surveyors to drop in from any location to suit their schedules.
