Glow Badminton – in aid of Children in Need
Taking place at Matthew Arnold Sports Centre in Staines-upon-Thames at 10am on Saturday 17 November, Glow Badminton is pure fun – all in aid of Children in Need.
Spelthorne Spartans Badminton Club in partnership with Spelthorne Council, Heathrow Community Fund and Tesco Bags of Help have launched a fun new community project called Glow Badminton following the purchase of special equipment to provide a new playing experience with UV lighting and music.
With 50% of ticket sales going directly to Children in Need and collection buckets available on the day, this is a great event for the family to get together and raise some money.
Players must be at least 7 years old. There is no strobe lighting involved. We recommend buying tickets in advance.
The event costs £6 per person.
Spelthorne’s Cabinet Member for Leisure, Cllr Maureen Attewell, said: “If you like badminton, you’ll love Glow Badminton. It’s a great way to get fit and have some fun in a vibrant and unique setting. We hope lots of residents will come along and support Children in Need.”
