Rural England Prosperity Fund grants of up to £50,000 are now available to fund capital projects for small businesses and community infrastructure in the rural areas of Guildford, Waverley and Tandridge. Small businesses in any of the three rural areas can apply for grants of up to 50% of their project’s capital costs The programme aims to strengthen the local rural economy.

We are looking for projects which create jobs or grow the local rural economy such as farm diversification, food and drink produce, business development, community café or village shops. To find out more please visit our website www.surreycc.gov.uk/ruralprosperity

The objectives of the programme are to support rural development, job creation, growth and community enterprise. All projects will be prioritised according to which projects deliver the greatest economic, environmental and social benefits. Projects must demonstrate value for money and additionality including how they contribute to Net Zero and nature recovery objectives.

The Rural England Prosperity Fund is funded by DEFRA as part of the Levelling up agenda and is being funded by Guildford, Waverley and Tandridge District and Boroughs in partnership with Surrey County Council.
