8 July 2024: If you live in Spelthorne, then you can help us to understand your views on the services that Spelthorne Borough Council provide you and your family
If you live in Spelthorne, then you can help us to understand your views on the services that Spelthorne Borough Council provide you and your family. We are committed to listening to residents and would like everyone to participate. The findings of the survey will be used to help the council shape its priorities and inform planning of services to help to meet residents’ needs and expectations. It will also enable the council to measure progress against key priorities set in the 2024 – 2028 Corporate Plan: Putting residents at the heart of everything we do.
Spelthorne residents receive services from two councils, Spelthorne Borough Council and Surrey County Council. This survey relates to the services that are provided by Spelthorne Borough Council which include waste and recycling collections, community centres, street cleaning, playgrounds, parks, planning, leisure centres and homelessness provision. Surrey County Council is responsible for services such as highways (pavement, footpaths, road maintenance and potholes) schools and education, social care services, verge cutting, libraries, on-street parking, fire and rescue and street lighting.
Cllr Joanne Sexton, Leader of Spelthorne Borough Council said, “We are undertaking this survey of residents’ views to establish perceptions of the council and residents’ opinions on their communities, priorities, concerns and wellbeing. Your views really count, as well as wanting to know what you think about our services and future priorities, the results will help us make the right decisions in how we allocate our resources. Please spread the word and encourage friends and family to take part. We want to hear from people from all walks of life and every response counts!”
Cllr Chris Bateson, Deputy Leader of Spelthorne Borough Council said, “It’s important that we continue the conversation with residents and this survey is key in building a dialogue about your lives in the Borough and aligns with our values to be open and responsive. Your feedback is important to us so please take this opportunity to you have your say.”
