Practical Support for Surrey SME Leaders

Surrey Business School is offering the Help to Grow: Management Course, a government-backed 12-week programme designed to help SME leaders grow their businesses, strengthen leadership skills and build resilience.

The programme combines expert-led learning, peer-to-peer insight and one-to-one mentoring, helping participants apply practical business frameworks to their own challenges and opportunities.

90% Government Funded

The UK Government subsidises 90% of the course cost, meaning eligible businesses pay £750 per participant.

The University of Surrey’s next programme starts on 7 October 2026 and runs for 12 weeks, with online sessions, in-person workshops, peer discussions and one-to-one mentoring.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must work for a UK-based SME employing between 5 and 249 people, hold a senior leadership or decision-making role and have at least one direct report.
