At the Spelthorne Business Forum, we’re passionate about celebrating the incredible individuals and businesses that make our local community thrive. This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Jacqui Collins, the creative force behind Vintage Chic Furniture Studio, and our first runner-up in the Spelthorne Business Plan Competition 2025.
Jacqui’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and a love for the local area.
After illness brought her teaching career to a halt, Jacqui discovered a new outlet for her skills and energy: furniture upcycling. What started as a personal project quickly grew into a thriving business, combining artistry with sustainability, and giving new life to furniture while inspiring others to do the same.
“I absolutely love Shepperton and our local area. My workshops are all about creativity, connection, and showing people how they can transform something old into something beautiful,” says Jacqui.
Through her studio, Jacqui runs fun and hands-on upcycling workshops for adults, children, and teens, creating a welcoming space where everyone can learn new skills and gain confidence. These sessions are perfect for anyone who loves creativity or wants to take a mindful break from day-to-day life.

Upcoming Half-Term Workshops
Jacqui has an exciting line-up of workshops planned for October Half Term, taking place at some fantastic local venues:
- Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, Walton
- Totally Tangerine Cookery Studio, Shepperton
- Eggham on Toast, Staines
These workshops are a brilliant way to try something new, spend quality time with family, and support a talented local business.
