Following the event, Spelthorne Council and the sponsors made a commitment to make The Pride of Spelthorne an annual event to celebrate the significant contribution made by the Borough’s volunteers.
Cllr Tony Harman, Deputy Leader for Spelthorne Council, said: “Volunteers are vital to the smooth running of many organisations in the Borough and give up so much of their own time to help others – we simply couldn’t do without them. Many congratulations to all this year’s recipients, they really are the Pride of Spelthorne!”
Thanks go to the event sponsors, Worldwide Energy Logistics Ltd, U Drive Cover and Churchill Hui; London Irish Rugby Club for providing the venue and Jacqueline Stanton for helping with the organisation.
