It’s time to ruffle some feathers, the legendary Big Duck Race is back, and it’s one of the highlights of the Staines-upon-Thames Day celebrations! Whether you’re a local business, school, charity, or just love a good splash of fun, this is your chance to take part in a feel-good event that raises money for a brilliant local cause.
Hosted by the much loved charity MidasPlus, the Big Duck Race isn’t just a fantastic spectacle, it’s a fundraising event with real community impact. And yes, it involves actual giant ducks floating (and racing!) down the river.

For just £50 (or £90 for two ducks), you can sponsor and decorate your very own duck with a prize on offer for the best-decorated duck and, of course, glory for the winning duck in the big race.
Even better? The duck is yours to keep and re-enter in future years. It’s tax de-duck-table too!
Discounted entry is available for schools and registered charities – just £25 for one duck or £45 for two.
