The Spelthorne Rentstart Extra builds on the core service, to provide additional support, advice and assistance to clients with multiple and complex needs. The project offers intensive on-going tenancy

The Core Service
Spelthorne Rentstart’s (SRS) core service is a Rent Deposit Scheme that assists single people and childless couples on low incomes to gain access to accommodation in the Private Rented Sector.
The Rent Deposit Scheme provides landlords with a guarantee bond (up to a maximum of one month’s rent) in place of a traditional cash deposit. The security bond (a formal agreement) protects the landlord from rent arrears and damage to the property. Claims can be submitted by landlords in case of property damage as a result of a tenant’s actions, or failure to meet rent requirements at the end of the tenancy.
All clients accepted onto the scheme are vetted, will have demonstrated that they are willing to engage with SRS, are able to live independently and maintain the conditions of their tenancy to make it a lasting success.

The Spelthorne Rentstart Extra Project
The Spelthorne Rentstart Extra project builds on the existing core service, to provide additional support, advice and assistance to clients with multiple and complex needs, and their landlords.
