Surrey employers are being invited to connect with a cohort of trained, work-ready candidates who have successfully completed the Road to Logistics Warehousing & Logistics Skills Bootcamp and are now ready to move into employment.
The Skills Bootcamp has equipped local learners with the practical knowledge, workplace behaviours and employability skills needed to start careers across warehousing, logistics, retail, manufacturing, wholesale, supply chain and e-commerce.
Work-ready candidates looking for opportunities
The learners have completed training covering core warehousing functions including:
- Safe warehouse working practices
- Goods in and goods out processes
- Stock control
- Order picking and packing
- Manual handling and health & safety
- Teamwork and communication
- Problem solving and customer service
Learners have also completed employability training covering CV writing, interview preparation and workplace expectations, helping prepare them to make the transition into employment.
Is your business recruiting?
Employers are particularly being sought for opportunities including:
- Warehouse Operative
- Picker/Packer
- Stock Controller
- Goods In/Goods Out Operative
- Loader
- Warehouse Administrator
- Logistics Assistant
- Other warehousing and logistics positions
Opportunities can be part-time or full-time, provided they offer at least 16 weeks of continuous employment at a minimum of 12 hours per week.
There is no minimum company size. Businesses across logistics, manufacturing, retail, wholesale, e-commerce, supply chain and related sectors are encouraged to get involved.
Additional Forklift Truck training support
Where Forklift Truck training is required for a learner’s new role, Road to Logistics can fully fund RTITB-accredited Forklift Truck (FLT) training once the learner has started employment.
Training is delivered by qualified RTITB-accredited instructors and can be aligned with the employer’s equipment and operational requirements, providing the learner with a nationally recognised qualification at no cost to the business.
