Help lead Spelthorne’s business community into its next chapter.
After 18 brilliant years of supporting and championing local enterprise, the Spelthorne Business Forum (SBF) is entering an exciting new phase and we’re looking for someone with vision, experience and a genuine love for local business to lead us as our next Chair.
Our current Chair is stepping down this June after a fantastic six-year term. She’s helped shape SBF into the thriving, go-to network it is today and will remain on the Board to support a smooth transition and an exciting programme ahead.
About Us:
We’re a Community Interest Company built by local businesses, for local businesses. With over 1,000 members and growing, we run events, training, mentoring, and a flagship Business Plan Competition all with the goal of helping our community connect, grow and thrive.
From micro start-ups to established SMEs, we’re proud to be the friendly, trusted forum that businesses turn to for advice, support and opportunity.
With potential local government changes on the horizon, we’re also looking at the bigger picture how we collaborate, grow, and potentially merge to keep delivering even more impact.
Who we’re looking for:
A passionate person who:
• Brings strategic-level experience, particularly in times of organisational change
• Is an inspiring communicator and relationship builder
• Can engage effectively with key stakeholders, sponsors, and grant providers
• Is passionate about nurturing a vibrant local business community
Why now?
There’s never been a more exciting time to get involved. You’ll be helping shape the future of business in Spelthorne with a supportive Board, passionate community, and fresh opportunities ahead.
If this sounds like something you’d love to be part of, we’d love to hear from you.
Reach out to tracey.carter@sbf.biz for an informal conversation.
Let’s write the next chapter of SBF together.
