What is a T Level Qualification?

T Levels are new qualifications, designed in conjunction with employers, to give young people a head start towards their future career and support organisations like yours. The structure of the qualification sits in between a full time vocational course which has no work experience and an apprenticeship which has work based learning.

Cranford will be the only provider in Hounslow offering the Digital T level from 2020, one of 50 providers across the country, and we have chosen to pursue this qualification because there is so much enthusiasm in our community for the Digital industries which form such an important part of the local economy, now more than ever.

T Levels are for young people who want to continue studying and gain work experience with a real employer on a worthwhile industry placement. T Level students complete employability training so they understand the demands and expectations of the workplace before placement starts.

Industry placements will last a total of 315 hours across the two year course. That is 45 days and at Cranford we want to be as flexible in delivering this as we can be to support our industry partners

By the time they come to you, our students will have covered a range of specialist occupational content from software development cycles, coding and code maintenance to the digital environment and data storage, as well as relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks and security.

They will be ready to work and contribute to your organisation.

How will this benefit you? Well, there are so many reasons companies across the UK are getting involved:

•           Help nurture and develop talent

•           Cost effective recruitment for entry level jobs and apprenticeships

•           Bring in people with imaginative new ideas and different skills

•           Upskill your staff with the chance to mentor a young person

•           Extra resource and capacity for specific projects

We are still recruiting businesses to join our expanding team of partners such as Heathrow Ltd, St Mary’s University and Ajar Technology and provide industry placements for our innovative and inspirational young people.
